FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Eastmain, Qc – December 3, 2025 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Eastmain detachment assisted officers of the Sûreté du Québec’s Major Crimes Unit in executing a search warrant on the early morning of December 2, 2025 at a local residence in the community.

Officers entered the house at approximately 06H10 a.m. and explained the search warrant to the residents. After further investigation and questioning, one male suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

The Sûreté du Québec conducted the interrogation and seized electronic devices.

Collin Moar Swallow (25) appeared before the judge on December 2, 2025 and was formally charged with possession of child pornography under section 163.1 (4) of Canada’s Criminal Code. The suspect is being transferred to the Amos Detention Centre and has a next court appearance scheduled December 4th, 2025.
