FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mistissini, Qc – November 19, 2025 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Mistissini detachment along with officers of the Sûreté du Québec intercepted a vehicle in the late evening of November 18th, 2025 in which they discovered the driver was wanted on an arrest warrant.

EEPF and SQ officers executed a visual search of the vehicle and seized alcohol under the Mistissini Cree Nation by-law. In this search, 240.7 grams of white powdery substance and drug paraphernalia was also seized. The approximate street value of this seizure is over $28,000.

Isaac Longchap (39) was arrested for possession for purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, detained for arrest warrants and is also facing charges under the Cree Nation of Mistissini by-law for possession of alcohol.
