Mistissini, Qc – September 9, 2025 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Mistissini detachment intercepted a vehicle on September 7, 2025, after receiving information from the public.
Upon arrival, officers seized alcohol from the vehicle that was visible in plain sight. A total of 18 bottles of 26 oz of 40% alc/vol was seized at an approximate street value of $1080.
We would like to remind community members and residents that EEPF works with local by-laws. Residents that do not respect their local by-laws will be fined by way of receiving a ticket or by summons to court.
The Eeyou Eenou Police Force are mindful of the impacts that alcohol and drugs have on our communities. Working together is how we can provide a healthier and safer environment for our youth and future generations.
