Supplementary Retention Premium

  • Hiring Premium: $5,000 payout after 6 months.
  • Retention Premium Two Lump Sum: $5,000. 
  • Payouts: June 15th and December 15th. 

Special Allowance

  • An Officer assigned to work regularly in a Cree community is entitled to a special allowance of a minimum of $7,500 and a maximum of $10,000.
  • An Officer assigned to work in Whapmagoostui is entitled to a minimum of $10,000 and a maximum of $12,500.

Home Leave

  • 3 home leaves per reference year

Night Shift Premium

  • An officer who works twelve (12) hour shifts and is regularly assigned to work on a schedule including night shifts shall receive an annual night shift premium of $1000.

Overtime Time

  • Overtime can be banked up to a maximum of 150 hours.

Annual Vacations

  • 1 to 15 years of services, a total of 168 hours
  • Maximum of 288 hours

Sick Leave

  • 108 hours of sick leave for permanent officers only

Cultural Leave for Cree Beneficiaries

  • 3 days (12 hours shift)
  • 5 days (8 hours shift)

Statutory Holidays

  • 10 Statutory Holidays payment

Pension

  • Deferred pension with the plan with Cree Naskapi Pension Plan

Insurance Sunlife

  • Insurance after 6 months of work services

  • Officers working in the Bay James Territory may also benefit from tax deductions
