FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Waswanipi, Qc – May 2, 2025 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Waswanipi detachment along with officers of the Sûreté du Québec executed a search warrant on the night of May 1, 2025 at 4 CBO in Waswanipi. A total of 20 pills believed to be methamphetamine were seized, 3.5 grams of white substance believed to be cocaine and $3,270 in Canadian currency, along with drug dealing paraphernalia.

The total street value of the seized substances is approximately $3700.

Two persons, 46 (M) and 20 (M) years old, are facing charges of Trafficking in Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both individuals were released with a promise to appear and an undertaking. Eeyou Eenou Police Force would like to thank the community for providing information that helped in this successful drug operation. We look forward to continuing this work with you to make our communities a safer and healthier place to live.
