Whapmagoostui, Eeyou Istchee – May 14, 2026 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Whapmagoostui detachment responded to a call received on the evening of May 13th, 2026. During the intervention, officers noticed an open crate that was in plain view containing multiple bottles containing alcohol. In accordance to Whapmagoostui First Nation Consolidated By-Law no. 2013-150, the officers seized a total of 21 units of 750 ml bottles of 40% alc/vol.

The approximate street value of this seizure is of $6,300.
