FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Waswanipi, Qc – November 29, 2023 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Waswanipi detachment, along with the Sûreté Du Québec, have carried out a search per search warrant on a residence home that lead to arrests for drug trafficking offences.
Five individuals between 21 – 59 years of age were arrested and released with court dates plus conditions to respect.
During the search, the police seized over 1.5 ounces of white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine, cash money relating to the offence and drug paraphernalia.
