On October 5 2023, members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force along with the Chibougamau-Chapais Sûreté Du Québec carried out a search warrant on a vehicle that lead to arrests for drug trafficking offences.
Two individuals between the ages of 30 and 33 were arrested and both are detained to appear in front of the judge.
During the search, the Police seized over 430 grams of white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine and cash money. The estimated street value of this seizure is over $50,000.
