On July 28, 2026 (Cree Nation of Chisasibi) – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police working out of the Chisasibi detachment, along with Sûreté de Québec officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in Chisasibi, Quebec.
The search warrant was obtained as a result of a Firearms investigation.
Following the search, EEPF and SQ officers located and seized the following.
- A 9mm Glock handgun (prohibited firearm)
- A knife (offence related to weapons)
Three individuals are currently detained in this investigation: a young couple, an 18-year-old female and a 19-year-old male, who occupied the bedroom in that residence, along with Crissie Martinhunter (33), who was arrested for an active Arrest Warrant.
The following charges are pending for Crown Attorney’s approval.
- Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited / Restricted Weapon
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Careless use of Firearm
- Unsafe Storage of Firearm
Crissie Martinhunter (33) will appear by phone at the Amos courthouse, pending a bail hearing for the active arrest warrant.
